14 Ways to Take Your Facebook Marketing to the Next Level
The new year is here and with it comes new opportunities to take your Facebook Marketing to the next level.
In the post below I share 14 powerful strategies that will help you separate your Facebook page from the pack
1. Start Showcasing a “Cover Photo of the Day”
My friend Justin Main is an awesome photographer and he is using this strategy to showcase his work.
He is the only person I see doing this and he is crushing it with his results.
Almost everything I see from him these days is getting 100+ likes and some get double this or better.
2. Build Your Email List
A new email subscriber trumps a Facebook “like” any day of the week.
If you are not yet capturing emails with your Facebook page you are doing it wrong.
Just consider: every email you send will be delivered and acknowledged, whereas only about 16% of your fans will see your status updates.
Facebook is still awesome of course but email is still the “holy grail” of online marketing.
But having an email opt-in form without a lead magnet is like having a car without an engine.
So create something awesome and give it away to as many people as you can in exchange for their email subscription.
3. Go Above and Beyond
Go the extra mile to show your audience that you care.
Take the time to respond and deliver value without expecting anything in return.
Make deposits into the “bank of good will” and before long those deposits will start paying dividends in the form of true fans who will go beyond just clicking like on your page and will actually care about helping you succeed.
4. Find a Way to Monetize ASAP
I have found that there are few things more encouraging than making sales of a product you have developed.
Sales are the lifeblood of any business and if you don’t have something to sell this is something you should focus on.
You do not need a super elaborate product to start making sales.
Most people would rather get 10 very powerful tips that deliver amazing results than 1000 tips that show a myriad of roads to the same destination.

When it comes to product creation: release early, revise often.
Get something out there as soon as you can and start making sales and this will motivate you to take it to the next level, beef up your offer, and re-launch at a higher price!
5. Like for This Share for That
Give your fans the option of liking to vote one way or sharing to vote another.
Either way you win!
For best results make the more popular option the thing you recommend for “share.”

6. Get Personal
People respond to other people and personalities so make your page personal whenever possible.
Post pictures of your team and get whoever is posting to include their name or initials when posting to give your content a human touch.
7. Add a Facebook Like Box Lightbox to Your Website
The Facebook Page Promoter Lightbox is the most powerful free thing you can do to take the amount of Facebook likes you get on a daily basis to the next level.
To use this plugin you will need a self hosted WordPress plugin.
With this plugin you are able to adjust the delay before the lightbox is shown and how many days until the lightbox is shown to the same visitor again.
8. Share More Often
Only between 16 and 18 percent of your fans are on Facebook at any given time, at most.
If you are only posting once or twice a day you are leaving untapped potential on the table.
Depending on the size of you audience posting between 5 – 10 times will help you get the better engagement with your fans.
9. Use Fill in ____ Blank Posts
Fill in the blank posts kick ____.
Use them and watch as comments light on your page up.
10. Ask for the Like
Come right out and tell your fans to like your post.
You can use a “Like this post if…” strategy as well and I used that approach for a post today actually.

11. Offer Fan Only Content
Create a “fan gate” and offer a gift to someone once they click like.
To get best results with this strategy deliver the free gift via email so you capture the visitor as a fan and a subscriber of your email list.

Help people out and they’ll keep coming back.
Take the time to respond to comments and share helpful content in the first place that is worth commenting about.
13. Tag People When It Makes Sense to Do So
Tagging is a great way to get extra exposure for your content.
When you tag someone your post is shared to their timeline as well, so if you tag several people the promotion for your post multiplies.
Make sure there is a reason why you are tagging people, don’t abuse this feature and tag a dozen people in a post.
Keep it relevant and there’s a good chance the person you tag will leave the post on their wall.
14. Show Social Proof Whenever Possible
Not everything you post is going to sing.
That’s okay but there are a few things you can do to increase your chances of success.
Start by joining as many relevant groups as possible in your niche. Many groups require approval so it may take a bit of time before you are approved…
…once you’ve been approved make sure to share your most important content to relevant groups right after you post it.
The first like is the hardest like to get on a post but if you start by sharing your post you will get free exposure from that group plus members of your page will be more likely to like, comment and share your content.
